Old Montreal has a cunningly wilful way of reeling you in during the summertime, and every year it hauls me into the next winter season, leaving me slightly disoriented about the fact that seasons are relative, and that my bucketlist jaunts outside of the city might have to become a reality soon.
Perhaps it’s little places like Venice Montreal, places that have truly made the best of their restaurant space, that continue to keep the city crafty and alive. The food is slightly overpriced, but for the rare weekend escapade into the Old town that so deeply resonates with my French alter ego, I will make an exception. Fun and vibrant, it not only serves colourful brunches such as toast spreads, salads and pokes but also acai bowls (which I haven’t seen many places serve in the city). This California-inspired healthy food restaurant hits the spot when it comes to sunny day weekend brunches with friends!
