While the warm weather might be withering away, comfort foods will always be here to gratify your unquenchable appetite for life. Egg noodles and teriyaki sauce have forever been indulgent go-tos that just make me want to lick my plate clean. No shame!
Ingredients (4 servings):
- 120g egg noodles
- 1/2 red cabbage
- 1/2 large onion
- 1 broccoli, separated into florets
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 large carrots, grated along their length
- 5 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup Teriyaki sauce
1: Cook egg noodles according to packaging instructions. Once drained, rinse with cold water. Keep aside.
2: Prepare vegetables: Steam red cabbage and broccoli over boiling water for approximately 2 minutes.
3: In a large wok, add oil at medium-high heat. Add in chopped garlic and onions and stir until they caramelize, or until golden brown.
4: Add in carrotts, cook for 2 minutes.
5: Pour in noodles and teriyaki sauce and mix everything together.
6: Garnish with chopped green onion.
