Happy 2017, my friends! How did you ring in the new year? I’ve certainly had my share of moments with loved ones. Wishing you year full of joy and laughter and bright successes. May this year bring you everything you wish for and more!
Starting a new year to me means 365 new chances, new risks and new opportunities to discover some amazing places around the city and around the world. Last week I was invited to try Maggie Oakes’ lunch menu and instantly discovered that there is so much to be celebrated in this new and trendy hotspot. Its house-cured charcuterie and colourful salad options deliver a balanced menu full of goodness to be had! Hubby and I tasted the red cabbage & apple remoulade, albacore tuna tartare, grilled salmon as well as the grilled bavette. Though this was my first time trying duck bacon in a red cabbage salad, I can say that it probably won’t be my last. The tuna tartare also had a vibrant taste, perfectly complementing slices of toast. Lastly, the salmon and steak satisfied our meat cravings. The steak was nice and tender and I especially loved their in-house chimichurri that I can only describe as an explosion of flavours in your mouth. Happy bellies indeed. 🙂
Maggie Oakes offers breakfast, lunch and dinner menus that are perfect for small or large gatherings. Their staff is extremely friendly, helpful and generous. Go on and explore their delightful menu at 426 Place Jacques Cartier, Montreal, H2Y 3B3 and then take a walk in the Old Port.
